(Moncton, New Brunswick – April 23, 2012) – The director of Sistema New Brunswick’s children’s orchestra centre in Moncton has been invited to perform with Tafelmusik, one of the world’s top baroque orchestras on period instruments.
David Parker will play the classical hand horn with the Toronto-based orchestra for a week in May, taking part in four concerts at the city’s Koerner Hall and a live-to-disc recording. They will perform Beethoven’s ‘Eroica Symphony’ and Mendelssohn’s ‘Italian Symphony’.
“I’ve been wanting to play with this group for about 20 years,” says Parker, a 48-year-old Moncton resident. “I’m thrilled to have been invited to do so.”
