Youth orchestra to perform in Bathurst this Sunday

The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra will perform the 2015-16 Season debut concert on Sunday, October 25th in Bathurst, presented by Caisses populaires acadiennes.
The concert titled ‘Inspiring Excellence / Inspirer l'excellence’ will feature New Brunswick's most talented orchestral musicians, led by NBYO Music Director and Conductor, Venezuela-born Maestro Antonio Delgado.
The show begins at 2 p.m. at the École secondaire Népisiguit auditorium and will feature Tchaikovsky's – Symphony No. 1 in g minor “Winter Daydreams” as well as John Williams' spellbinding Star Wars Suite for Orchestra.
The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra is comprised of over 80 youth members from across the province. It was founded in 1965 and has featured many Bathurst-area musicians, including 2015-16 season tuba section principal--Gabrielle Carruthers.
