NBYO In Concert / En concert OJNB--Oromocto, NB

 

This 2:00 PM concert will begin with a choral performance by the Lintuhtine Music Academy of Oromocto under the direction of Helen Mórag McKinnon.

NBYO In Concert / En concert OJNB--Woodstock, NB

The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra concert will be staged at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 25th in the Woodstock High School Theatre. Area concert sponsors include Woodstock Rotary Club, CJ 104 Radio, and SABIAN.

Don't miss seeing and hearing the internationally acclaimed NBYO in a dazzling performance of their 2012-13 repertoire of great works composed by Bizet, Mussorgsky (orchestrated by Rimsky-Korsakov), Ginastera, Piazzoloa, and Tchaikovsky.

NBYO recordings and DVDs will be available for sale at the concert. They make great gifts. Three NBYO recordings were nominated for East Coast Music Association Awards, including the 2011 recording Musikfreunde--Friends of Music. The Musikfreunde repertoire also earned NBYO first prize at the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival Competition in Vienna, Austria in July 2011.

NBYO In Concert / En concert OJNB--Moncton, NB

The 2012 NBYO concert in Moncton is scheduled for Saturday, January 12 at the Wesleyan Celebration Centre. The orchestra will be led by NBYO Music Director and Conductor Antonio Delgado, with Guest Conductor Charles Arseneau. Charles is the Music Director of École L'Odyssée in Moncton. Our featured musician will be NBYO principal cellist Jaeyoung Chong.

Investors Group of Moncton returns as 2013 Presenting Sponsor. Many community groups will be in attendance at the Moncton concert, including: invited guests of Investors Group, concert sponsors, BMHS students and staff supporting featured cellist and BMHS senior Jaeyoung Chong, École L'Odyssée students and staff supporting guest conductor Charles Arseneau, Sistema Moncton students and parents, and In Harmony students from the Anglophone East School District.

The Divorcees to Perform with The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra

The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra (NBYO) is pleased to announce an exciting musical collaboration with Honky Tonk Heroes and Musical Outlaws!

The Divorcees will join the NBYO as special guests Sunday, February 24th, 2013, at 2 and 7 PM at the Imperial Theatre in Saint John.

The concert, titled “Outlaws & Oboes”, will showcase the orchestra’s exciting new repertoire for 2013 and bring the no-nonsense country sounds of The Divorcees on stage for what will be a very thrilling (and maybe even a little dangerous) musical performance.

The internationally acclaimed New Brunswick Youth Orchestra will present an exciting concert in Bathurst on Sunday, March 24 at 2pm in the Bathurst High School Auditorium, led by Venezuelan-born Music Director and Conductor Maestro Antonio Delgado.

Fiddling from the Heart

New Brunswick's fiddling ambassadors--Ivan & Vivian Hicks welcome the Sistema Moncton Mozart Strings Orchestra to perform at the 35th Anniversary Fundraising Concert of the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers on Saturday, January 26th. The concert will be staged at the Riverview Arts Centre. Tickets are priced at $17 in advance or $20 at the door. Proceeds from the anniversary concert will support Sistema NB. Donations for the Albert County Food Bank will be gratefully accepted at the door.

Don't miss this first time collaboration of the Sistema Moncton Mozart Strings Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Antonio Delgado, with the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers.
