NBYO MUSIC MENTOR PROJECT
NBYO is committed to continuing to build a high quality program for New Brunswick’s most talented young musicians. In order to enhance our distinguished performance, prepare high quality artists, and add to our reputation for accomplishment in New Brunswick, Canada and beyond, the
NBYO introduced in 2007 the MUSIC MENTOR PROJECT.
Through this Project, NBYO Faculty provide coaching and mentoring of our young musicians – 13 instrumental professionals providing intense training to small instrumental groups of youth orchestra members. This focused musical training will connect professional string, woodwind, brass and percussion clinicians with the members of the orchestra in their respective sections. Thirteen mentors and a total of more than 90 individual mentoring days throughout the season will significantly increase the educational value of the NBYO program and noticeably raise the level of the performing orchestra as a whole.
