The Sharon Crowther Memorial Fund for Voice

This fund has been established in loving memory of Sharon Crowther (1961-2011) by her family and friends to honour Sharon's love of teaching, music, and the human voice. The St. Andrews Arts Council, of which Sharon was a board member and officer for many years, will place the money in a designated fund to be used for the Sharon Crowther Memorial Award for Voice. This annual prize will be awarded in June to the winner of the St. Andrews International Aria Competition to a pre-professional classically trained emerging artist enrolled in the St. Andrews Arts Council's opera and voice programs.

Sharon Crowther was also a devoted NBYO parent and board member.

NBYO President Ken MacLeod recently wrote the following message to Jackie Guthrie, President of the St. Andrews Arts Council: "We appreciate the respect and love that motivates this remembrance of Sharon. Contributions will be made by individual NBYO members."
